nothing is true, everything could be

Samari Zysk

In Samari's workshop, they revolve around free association and automatism in surrealist poetry, especially as it relates to the legacy of poet Edmond Jabes. They briefly take the audience through the tradition of free association in contemporary poetry, and then offer techniques and exercises designed to relax poets' preconceived notions of their own work. Once the workshop is over, your unconscious imagination will be engaged in the genre of surrealism.

Samari Zysk is a queer Jewish poet with a Masters degree in poetry from Mills College. They are also editor-in-chief for Maw: Poetry Magazine. You can find their work in Ghost City Review, Fifth Wheel Press, and Giallo Lit, among others, and can also visit them online at samarizys.wixsite.com/rosepetalface.
