conjuring the dreamy form

Muiz Opeyemi Ajayi

How do we create surreal poetry out of seemingly ordinary and realist writing or events? In his workshop, Muiz Opeyemi Ajayi takes viewers through various exercises designed to conjure dreamy surrealist writing out of thin air. Reading excerpts from surreal poems such as “how most of the dreams go” and “self-portrait in a convex mirror”, Muiz examines the dreamy form and how it can be captured within writing– especially poems.
